The V Festival Encuentros en el M/A/L (Música, culturA y Letras) begins tomorrow, Thursday 26 January, with the inauguration of the exhibition “Conversaciones con el Espejo”, with photographs by David M. Ortega, at the Casa de los Cáceres, in Icod de los Vinos, at 17.30 hours. It is a dialogue between the new generations and the LGBTIQ+ collective, which can be visited until 16 February, with free admission.
Encuentros en el M/A/L is an initiative that seeks to give visibility to the defence of human rights and activism through music, culture and literature. This fifth edition, produced by Cauproges, is possible thanks to the sponsorship of Promotur, Instituto Canario de Desarrollo Cultural, Cabido Insular de Tenerife and Ayuntamiento de Santa Cruz de Tenerife; and the collaboration of the town councils of Vallehermoso and Icod de los Vinos and TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes.
This is the first activity of an extensive multidisciplinary programme that will be held on the islands of La Gomera, Gran Canaria and Tenerife over the coming weeks.
